Walt Disney Led All Media Distributors With a 11.1% Share in Nielsen’s November Index
Walt Disney led all media distributors with a 11.1% share in Nielsen’s November index, which aggregates viewing across all TV media platforms owned by one company. The company lost about a half-share point from October. Making gains month-to-month were YouTube at 10.8% (up from 10.6%), Paramount Global at 9.3% (vs. 8.7%), Fox at 8.6% (vs. 8.4%) and Netflix at 7.7% (vs. 7.5%).

OpenAI Has Also Made Some Improvements to ChatGPT Search on Mobile
ChatGPT’s AI search engine is rolling out to all users starting today. OpenAI announced the news as part of its newest 12 days of ship-mas livestream, while also revealing an “optimized” version of the feature on mobile and the ability to search with advanced voice mode.
ChatGPT’s search engine first rolled out to paid subscribers in October. It will now be available at the free tier, though you have to have an account and be logged in.

Twelve Labs is Building AI That Can Analyze and Search Through Videos
Users Can Search Through Videos for Specific Moments, Summarize Clips, or Ask Questions
AI models that understand videos as well as text can unlock powerful new applications. At least, that’s what Jae Lee, the co-founder of Twelve Labs, believes. Granted, Lee’s a little biased. Twelve Labs trains video-analyzing models for a range of use cases. But there may just be something to his assertion.
Using Twelve Labs’ models, users can search through videos for specific moments, summarize clips, or ask questions like “When did the person in the red shirt enter the restaurant?” It’s a powerful set of capabilities — which is perhaps why the company has attracted big-name backers, including Nvidia, Samsung, and Intel.

Epic Games’ app store will be preinstalled on millions of Android phones
Epic Has Signed a Deal with Telefónica to Get its App on Devices in Europe and Latin America
Epic Games has struck a deal with Telefónica to have its mobile storefront pre-installed on millions of compatible Android devices. As such, those who buy a phone from a Telefónica network such as O2 or Movistar in Spain, the UK, Germany and Spanish-speaking Latin America will immediately have the app, which offers access to Fortnite, Fall Guys and Rocket League Sideswipe. Epic will bring third-party games to the storefront as well, while the partners plan to offer mobile gamers on Telefónica’s networks extra perks over the next year or so.

ChatGPT Can Now Process Commands Through Siri and Handle Tasks Across the Operating System
OpenAI demonstrated its new iPhone integration on Wednesday as iOS 18.2 rolled out to users, bringing ChatGPT directly into Siri, writing tools and camera features.
The feature update, shown off on day five of OpenAI’s “12 Days of Shipmas” product launches, marks a rare opening of Apple’s core iPhone features to outside software. ChatGPT can now process commands through Siri and handle tasks across the operating system.
