The valuation jump is a reflection of the AI provider’s sales growth. ElevenLabs, which was founded in 2022, is generating more than $330 million in annualized revenue from a customer base that includes Meta Platforms Inc., Nvidia Corp. and other major tech firms.

OpenAI has Entered into a Definitive Agreement to Acquire the Startup Neptune
OpenAI has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Neptune, a startup that builds monitoring and de-bugging tools that artificial intelligence companies use as they train models. Neptune and OpenAI have collaborated on a metrics dashboard to help teams that are building foundation models. The companies will work “even more closely together” because of the acquisition, Neptune CEO Piotr Niedźwiedź said in a blog.

French AI lab Mistral releases new AI models as it looks to keep pace with OpenAI and Google
The Company is One of Europe’s Leading AI Startups and Raised 11.7 Billion Euros in September
The French company’s announcement follows on from model releases from the likes of DeepSeek and Google in recent weeks, as AI labs across the globe scramble to remain at the frontier of research while also building out commercial operations. Mistral’s release includes a large model which it claims is the “world’s best open-weight multimodal and multilingual.”

Artificial intelligence startup Runway on Monday announced Gen 4.5, a new video model that outperforms similar models from Google and OpenAI in an independent benchmark. Gen 4.5 allows users to generate high-definition videos based on written prompts that describe the motion and action they want.

OpenAI’s Japanese Rival Sakana in Talks to Raise Capital at $2.5 Billion Valuation
Sakana Plans to Raise $100 Million from Investors in U.S. and Japan
The funding talks come months after CEO David Ha said publicly that the company would operate profitably within a year. Sakana is developing AI with a different type of technology than OpenAI, Anthropic and Google use. This year the startup has announced deals to develop AI for some of Japan’s largest financial institutions.
